THE GREAT TRIANGLE PROJECT

Marcel Duchamp said that in the future when an artist points at an object and calls it art then it is art.  The future is now.  Even though there are lines encompassing the earth they are not art until we call it so.  The Great Triangle Project is Art.

I created this project twenty years ago when I had a bbs (bulletin board system) but never performed it.  Since www.MySpace.com has made it much easier I have decided to do it.

What we are doing is creating the largest pieces of art ever created on earth.  They are the Great Triangles.............jack

GUIDELINES

#1:  You will need to know the time in all the places that are going to participate.  To make a personal world clock go to this site http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/personalapplet.html and click on normal personal world clock.  You can then make your clock 

#2:  Put the performers in your Top Eight and make sure they keep the Online Now flasher on. 

The "Change My  Top 8" is in the lower left corner.  In this illustration "polly pocket" and "Cherry Pi" are online.

ENGLISH

To make a Great Triangle you find two other people on MySpace.com and have them on the line at the same time as you are.  You then send one of them a message.  A nonsense message like "the cake is baked" and they are to send it to the other person (all three need to be on your friends list at MySpace.com)  The second person then sends it back to you and when you get it you know that you have created a Great Triangle.  Document where it went, how long it took and what time you did it.  Then send it to project@greattriangle.com   I will need to know the MySpace name of all the participants  so I can document that it was really done.  I will then put it on a webpage as a document with a link from this page.

Para hacerlo usted encuentra a dos otras personas en MySpace.com y lo tiene en la línea al mismo tiempo que usted es. Usted entonces envía una de ellas un mensaje. Un mensaje del absurdo como "la torta se cuece al horno" y deben enviarle a la otra persona (los tres tienen que estar en su lista de los amigos en MySpace.com) a la segunda persona después lo envían de nuevo a usted y cuando usted lo consigue usted sabe que usted ha creado un gran triángulo. El documento adonde fue y cuándo usted lo hizo. Entonces envíelo a project@greattriangle.com que necesitaré saber los nombres de todos los participantes y de su MySpace address/name o lo que puedo documentar tan que realmente fue hecha. Eine Unsinn Anzeige wie "der Kuchen wird" gebacken und sie sollen es zur anderen Person (alle drei müssen auf Ihrer Freundliste an MySpace.com sein), die zweite Person schicken dann senden es zurück zu Ihnen und wenn Sie es erhalten, wissen Sie, daß Sie ein großes Dreieck verursacht haben. Dokument, wohin es ging und welche Zeit Sie es taten. Schicken Sie es dann zu project@greattriangle.com, das ich die Namen aller Teilnehmer und ihres MySpace address/name kennen muß, oder was auch immer so ich dokumentieren kann, daß es wirklich getan wurde. Ich setze es dann auf eine Webseite als Dokument.

Pour le faire vous trouvez deux autres personnes sur MySpace.com et les avez sur la ligne pendant que vous êtes. Vous envoyez alors à l'une d'entre elles un message. Un message de non-sens comme "le gâteau est fait cuire au four" et ils doivent lui envoyer à l'autre personne (chacun des trois doit être sur votre liste d'amis à MySpace.com) la deuxième personne puis l'envoient de nouveau à vous et quand vous l'obtenez vous savez que vous avez créé une grande triangle. Document où elle a disparu et quand vous l'avez faite. Envoyez-alors l'à project@greattriangle.com que je devrai savoir les noms de tous les participants et de leur MySpace address/name ou celui qu'ainsi je peux documenter qu'il a été vraiment fait. Je le mettrai alors sur une page Web comme document.
